CHS was established in 2017 as an addition to an existing window repair business. Whilst fixing windows it became apparent that many customers were looking for a company with the same level of workmanship and attention to detail to fit shutters. The journey began. Looking for a quality and reliable source of plantation shutters eventually led to our current partnership and we are proud to offer some of the best available. That is why we do not use MDF in our shutters and avoid the low end plastic variety. They simply do not last as long. Shutters are an investment and if we can supply better quality at a similar price to other inferior products then it makes sense to use us.
We do offer solid wood shutters for most applications, as well as a PVC range for bathrooms and areas where moisture is a consideration.
Our surveyors and fitters are knowledgeable and experienced. Taking pride in what we do and going the extra mile is part of who we are, as well as old fashioned friendly service and sensible pricing. We want our customers to be glad they chose to work with us and, judging by our reviews and repeat business, they are.

We only use A-grade timber for our shutters, except for bathrooms. These are made of something entirely different. Hardware and finishes exceed industry standards.

Our home base is in Harrogate and we service the surrounding area up to 30 miles. But still get in touch if you are further away, our wonderful shutters can be found in many villages that other companies can't be bothered to visit, we don't like anyone to miss out!

From North Yorkshire up to Tyne-and-Wear we have you covered, not forgetting all the villages inbetween too!

Covering the Norfolk county in a 50 mile radius from Norwich. Reception so far has been fantastic!
