Shutters by Type:

White shutters with split tilt louvres, top open

This style has separate bottom and top doors. By opening the top doors only, light can flood in and the view outside is accessible. The bottom section can stay closed for privacy.

The doors fit the frame from top to bottom. Depending on size, they may have cross/mid rails for strength. They can be opened individually or bifold to the side/s. Full height shutters cover the window from top to bottom. When closed; they block out a significant amount of light, help to insulate the room and even reduce noise. Depending on height they may have a midrail. Doors can be single or bifold.

This type has doors that are usually bifold and run along a top and bottom track. Best for patio doors, room dividers or very large windows.
