CHS (Country Home Shutters) was established by Peter in 2017 as an addition to an existing window repair business. Whilst fixing windows, it became apparent that many customers were looking for a company with the same level of workmanship and attention to detail to supply and fit shutters.
The journey began.
Looking for quality and a reliable source of plantation shutters eventually led to our current partnership and we are proud to offer some of the best available.
That is why we do not use MDF in our shutters and also avoid the low-end plastic variety. They simply do not last as long and exude toxic chemicals.
Shutters are an investment. If we can supply better quality, at a similar price to other companies inferior products, then it makes sense to use us.
We offer solid wood shutters for most applications, as well as a high-quality PVC range for bathrooms and areas where moisture is a consideration.
Our surveyors and fitters are knowledgeable and experienced. Taking pride in what we do and going the extra mile is part of who we are, as well as offering old fashioned friendly service and sensible pricing.

Bringing samples, examples and colour swatches, he will go through the process of measuring as well as discussing your requirements.​
Tailored
Design
Not all windows or spaces are straightforward. We try to fulfil expectations where we can. Sometimes this means creative problem solving. Such as custom building frames and surrounds to enhance aesthetics.
Final
Survey
On larger or complex jobs, one of our experienced fitters will do a final survey. Only using A-grade timber for our shutters, except for bathrooms, the order is placed. Our hardware and finishes exceed industry standards.
